Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-07 · In effect from 7 September 2026
What Vetterly collects, why, and who else sees it. Written to be read rather than to cover us, and structured around the Australian Privacy Principles.
The short version: we collect what a marketplace needs to introduce a brand to a creator and pay them, we never see your card or bank details because Stripe handles those, and we do not sell anything to anyone.
1. What we collect
Only what the platform needs to work.
- Your account. Name, email address and a password, which is hashed and which we never see.
- Creator profiles. Display name, bio, niches, city, self-reported follower count, social handle, profile photo, sample content, rates and packages.
- Brand profiles. Business name, website and logo.
- Campaign information. Briefs, bids, messages sent through the platform, delivered content, delivery links and reviews.
- A shipping address, from creators, but only when a brand is sending a product.
- Payment information, which is collected and held by Stripe. Vetterly never sees or stores a card number or a bank account number.
- How you use the site. Pages visited, roughly where in the world you are, and which link brought you here.
We do not ask for government identity documents. Stripe does, from creators being paid, as part of its own legal obligations, and it holds those directly.
2. Why we collect it
- To run your account and let you log in.
- To match briefs to creators and explain why a creator was matched.
- To let brands and creators message each other without exchanging email addresses.
- To take payment, hold it, and pay creators.
- To email you about things happening on your campaigns: a bid, a message, a deadline, a parcel that has not arrived.
- To see which pages bring in brands and creators, so we know what to build next.
- To detect fraud, deal with disputes and keep the platform honest.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your campaign content or messages to train anybody's model.
3. What other people can see
A creator profile is public by design. Your display name, photo, bio, niches, city, follower count, rates and packages appear in the directory and can be found through Google. That is the point of being listed.
Your social handle and your email address are not public. A brand only sees a creator's handle once a campaign has been funded, and neither side ever sees the other's email address through the platform. Replying to a Vetterly notification email reaches Vetterly, not the other party.
A brand's name and campaign details appear on public briefs unless the brand marks the brief private. A brand's email address is never shown.
Messages you send through the platform are visible to the person you sent them to. If you type your phone number into a message, the person reading it can see it.
5. Information sent overseas
Several of the services above are based outside Australia, mainly in the United States and Singapore. That means your information may be stored or processed overseas.
We choose providers that commit to appropriate protection and we only send them what they need, but once information is held overseas it is subject to the laws of that country as well as ours. If that is not acceptable to you, the honest answer is not to use the platform.
7. How long we keep it
- Account and profile information, for as long as you have an account.
- Campaign and payment records, for seven years after the campaign, because Australian tax law requires it.
- Messages, for as long as the campaign record they belong to.
- Analytics, for 14 months.
When you close an account we delete or de-identify what we are not required to keep.
8. Keeping it safe
Everything travels over an encrypted connection and is stored in a database that requires authentication, with row-level rules that stop one account reading another's data. Payment details never touch our servers.
No system is perfectly secure. If there is a data breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
9. Getting a copy, or having it deleted
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the information we are not legally required to keep. Email hello@vetterly.com.au and we will get back to you within 30 days. There is no charge.
Most of it you can do yourself: your profile is editable, and a creator profile can be hidden from the directory without deleting anything.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email us first and we will try to fix it. If you are still unhappy, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
10. Contact and changes
Vetterly is operated by Ahmed Khan trading as Vetterly, a registered Australian business name. The best way to reach us about anything on this page is hello@vetterly.com.au.
When this policy changes, the version and date at the top change with it. If a change materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect.
