Trust & Safety

How Vetterly keeps both sides safe

Clear rules on money, delivery, refunds, disputes and content rights, so you always know where you stand before you start.

How your payment is protected

  • When a brand accepts a creator's bid, they pay upfront, but the money is held securely by Stripe, not paid to the creator.
  • The creator can see they've been selected and that the funds are secured, so they can start work with confidence.
  • The brand hasn't lost anything. Funds only move to the creator once the brand approves the delivered work.
  • That's why staying on Vetterly is the safe choice for everyone. The money is the guarantee.

How creators get on Vetterly

  • When we say a creator is vetted, we mean something specific: they opted in themselves, they work in the pet niche, and their on-platform track record (completed campaigns, brand ratings, on-time delivery) is real and visible. We don't claim to audit their audience or police their content.
  • Every creator joined Vetterly themselves. We never scrape profiles or list anyone without their consent, so everyone you match with has actively chosen to work with brands.
  • Follower counts are self-reported by creators and labelled that way wherever brands see them. We don't dress estimates up as verified data.
  • What we do verify is what happens on Vetterly: completed campaigns, ratings from brands, and on-time delivery all build a creator's visible track record.
  • New creators are marked as new. As they complete campaigns, their reputation replaces our matching as the strongest signal, and the good ones rise.

Fees, no surprises

  • Vetterly charges a flat 10% platform fee, added on top of the creator's rate. The brand pays it.
  • Creators always receive exactly what they quoted. We never take a cut from the creator's side.
  • Creators pay nothing to join, apply, or get paid. There's no subscription for brands either. You only pay when a campaign actually runs.
  • So the brand pays the creator's rate plus 10%, the creator receives 100% of their rate, and Vetterly keeps the 10%.

Delivery and approval

  • The creator submits their work on Vetterly, as a private draft link or an uploaded file, before anything goes live.
  • The brand reviews the draft. Two rounds of changes are included, kept to the original brief so neither side gets stuck in endless revisions.
  • When the brand approves, payment is released to the creator immediately.
  • If the creator posts it themselves, they confirm the live post link after approval. For UGC, the brand receives the file with full usage rights on approval.

Fair timing for everyone

  • Creators have 7 days from a campaign being funded to submit their first draft. If they don't, the brand can cancel for a full refund.
  • If a brand goes quiet for 5 days after a draft is submitted, funds release to the creator automatically, so creators are never left chasing payment.
  • These two rules keep things balanced. Brands are protected from no-shows, creators are protected from ghosting.

Cancellations and refunds

  • Before any draft is submitted, either side can cancel and the brand is refunded in full, including the 10% fee. If no value changed hands, Vetterly earns nothing.
  • Once work has been submitted, the options are to approve, request a change, or raise a dispute.
  • Where a dispute lands on a partial outcome, refunds are worked out in proportion to the work delivered.

Disputes

  • If something goes wrong, either party can raise a dispute. The campaign pauses and the funds stay safely on hold.
  • A real person at Vetterly reviews the case and works out a fair outcome.
  • Because the money is held until it's resolved, neither side can walk away with both the work and the payment.

Content and usage rights

  • Anything the creator makes stays their intellectual property until the campaign is approved and paid.
  • Draft previews are watermarked and download-disabled, so brands can review without being able to take the work before paying.
  • For UGC, full usage rights transfer to the brand on approval and payment.
  • When the creator posts it themselves, they publish on their own channel and the brand is paying for that audience and endorsement.

Contact details stay private

  • A creator's social handles and contact details stay hidden until a campaign payment is confirmed.
  • In messages, contact details (emails, phone numbers, handles and links) are hidden until a deal is booked, so a deal can't move off-platform before anyone's protected.
  • Found a creator you like? Message them and agree a price right here, then book it. Both sides are only covered while the deal runs through Vetterly.
  • Taking a Vetterly introduction off-platform to avoid fees is against our terms. We keep fees low (a flat 10%) precisely so there's no reason to.
